NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND 2012 was launched (no pun intended) in Orlando, Florida, home of the Magics.

This year, Nike celebrates the All-Star weekend by releasing 3 classic basketball sneakers for the occasion, namely the Air Foamposite One, Air Flight One and the Nike Dunk High. Nike has choosen a Space theme and is known as the “2012 All-Star Galactic Pack” paying homage to the Kennedy Space Centre as well as celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Allstar Game in Orlando in 1992 when Magic Johnson won the MVP after returning to the Game from his illness.

Air Foamposite One first came out in 1997, for the young point guard, Penny Hardaway of Orlando Magic. The original Air Foamposite One was only released in Royal Blue colorway and bears the Hardaway’ “One Cent” logo while, Air Foamposite Pro pearl white was worn by Scottie Pippen. Air Foamposites were the most expensive Nike ever sold in Retail at the time, $180 USD.

The Galaxy Foams were made for the 2012 NBA Allstar weekend in Orlando in Very Limited numbers!
