Reebok pump 20 launch

20 YEARS AND STILL PUMPING!
We’d like to Thank everyone for coming out last friday for the release of ESPIONAGE X REEBOK PUMP 20 event. 20 cases of Tiger Beer, 10x 1.25L of belvedere IX Vodka and 6 cases of Redbull, smashed.

1989-2009
The Pump technology has been described as innovative, unique and ground-breaking, but those words don’t even begin to measure up to exactly what it’s all about. After 20 years, The Pump technology still reigns as one of the most innovative footwear technologies ever made.

So, beginning November 20, 2009, Reebok will kick-off a year-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Pump technology. The celebration begins by bringing back The Pump, the shoe that started it all, and continues in 2010 with a celebration of some of our most iconic models.

More than 160 heads came out to represent Sydney’ Sneaker culture, 31 pairs of Zen Grey Yeezys all went to good homes! (Non-ebay style) and there were plenty of booze to go around! Big ups to Nike’s PR Team Sara, Lu, Don Sneaker Freaker’s Woody and Mafia for flying up from Melbourne to celebrate the occasion. Not to mention countless hours of behind the scene hard works to pull this off this launch! MC Trevor Hunter (Nike) was in full affect. Big thanks to BP, Nick Gray, Trisco, Nike’s head of security and all the other EKIN that were present on the night. This send out is almost like Thanks Giving?!
And to all the heads that turned up and made the event possible!! This one is for all of you! WHAT UP SYDNEY!
We know the numbers are limited and chances are small, but it was important to come out to celebrate our sneaker culture and make sure the demand exceed the numbers allocated so hopefully we can secure more units in the next Sneaker Launch!

I must say, Yeezys are the most comfortable shoes I have ever set my feet in. Its rare that an old school head like myself would fall in love with a new style like the Air Yeezys and I guarantee its no Hypebeast style!

Infrared Air Max 90’s Launch

Thank you for for coming out to the Infrared Launch last night. It was a massive turnout, bigger than we anticipated. Yesterday morning while we still trying to sort the place out, I had a question mark over my head… “will the stock dry up before the alcohol?” Answer to that was YES.. it sure did. Only size some 11.5,13 were left standing. 18 cases of beer smashed.

Once again, Big ups to those who came along on the launch night of an Iconic shoe- Nike Air Max 90 Infrared. Supported by Nike Australia, Haggen Lager and KiksTyo, we may have just delivered one of the best sneaker launch parties in 2008.

Nike Air Max 90 Infrared- first released back in 1990, it was brought back by popular demands in 2003, 2005 and this year 2008. If you can see a pattern in there, you’d know if you missed out on this release, you’ll be kicking yourself for the next 3 years. Real sneaker heads like our very own Mark Fowler, not only has 2005 release infrareds on ice, he also has the 2003 version on ice.. and Yes.. you guessed it, he coped another 2 pairs this time around!

Also, a Special mention to Victor who flew into Sydney from ACT and the Big Boys from Nike Australia Trevor(flew up from Melbourne just for this event) and Trisco for taking time out and party with us.

I’d also like to Thank our Espionage Crew- Danny, Mina, Effie, Ranma, Andy, Michael and Chris for helping out on the night. Also, our very own “Running Man” – Pete Wilson for helping us out at the counter.
